The Big Pink Link Week 26 – This Mum's Life

new linky badge
Welcome back big pink linkers, welcome back for week 26 of linking fun!

This week, we are super excited to welcome our very first guest host! Put your hands together and please welcome the lovely Hannah, from The Diary of An Ordinary Mum! She will be stepping in while Lou is on holiday, as the times we’ve all been away so far this year, we have still been tweeting, retweeting, and sometimes commenting, and Lou would like a COMPLETE break this time-which we all need sometimes! This will be a lovely time for everyone to get to know Hannah’s blog, a delightful mixture of her passion for British clothing boutiques, photography, days out, and other fabulousness!

In case you missed it last week, here is a quick word from The Agent: ‘I have started posting the actual diary entries of the Secret Diary of Agent Spitback on Facebook and will be linking the posts as my Host Post from time to time. So if the blog is quiet, please pop over to my Facebook to have a peep at Spitback’s diary. Blog posts will continue but in tandem with Facebook entries. If you do not do Facebook, please do not feel under pressure to like/comment on my Facebook post.’

We are also starting a new Instagram community!! Hashtag your posts with #pinklinker and we will feature some of your fab pictures here each week!

Right, on to WOWS of the week! The first of mine comes from Siena Says, with ‘The tween preen: Hair removal.’ This bought back a LOT of awful hair removal disaster memories for me! It was also a thought provoking look at how to approach this sensitive issue with your own children.

The second of my WOWS comes from Utterly Feral with ‘Mr Right: Clara finds love online.’ This was one of the best accounts of online dating I’ve read!! Just brilliant!!

The first of El’s WOWS comes from Nursery Whines with ‘Parklife: An Homage.’ El said: ‘ If you are a mom, then going to the Park is a sacred and special ritual. This parenting parody had me laughing at “All the Parents. So many parents.” What a hilarious interpretation of “ParkLife”. I went straight to have a read-it is totally amazing!!

Her second comes from The Stented Papa with ‘The daddy tag challenge.’ El said: ‘I really enjoyed Ross’ refreshing writing style and you can tell his personality at the first line “Ok so, let’s do this – saddle me up and call me Shergar” which hooked me right in. I am keeping an eye on this one, he should be fun to follow!’ (Ross is one of my favourite bloggers at the moment too!)

El has actually chosen a third WOW this week, as she felt all three of these posts required a mention. Her third comes from Mummy In A Tutu with ”The battle of motherhood: Practically perfect in every way.’ El said: ‘ I could relate to this post by Katie as she writes about we judge ourselves harshly against our own expectations of what the perfect mother should be. We just need to rememeber that we are already the mother our children need. Beautiful words that tugged at my heart strings.’

Please check out these fabulous bloggers and give their amazing posts some love!!
